PENGARUH PENDAYAGUNAAN ZAKAT KONSUMTIF DAN PRODUKTIF TERHADAP PEMBERDAYAAN MUSTAHIK PADA BAZNAS SURAKARTA

ABSTRAK Economic problems often occur in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. Indonesia itself is in fourth place after China, India, and the United States which have the largest population in the world. According to the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), in 2022, the total population of Indonesia in 2022 is 277,858,332 people. With this population, Indonesia has various economic problems, one of which is poverty. Poverty is a big problem, where individuals or groups cannot fulfill their needs due to limited natural resources and capital resources. Zakat is one of the instruments that specifically can overcome the problem of poverty and can prosper people who have a weak economy. The potential for zakat funds in Indonesia reaches Rp. 327 trillion, which can be expected to alleviate poverty in Indonesia due to zakat and large benefits. With such a large potential for zakat, zakat must be managed and utilized properly so that it is right on target and can improve the mustahik's economic level and reduce poverty. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the utilization of consumptive and productive zakat on the empowerment of mustahik in Baznas Surakarta City. This study uses quantitative research methods with multiple linear regression analysis approach. Tool used to test SPSS version 16.0 applications. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires, interviews, and documentation with the mustahik population in Baznas Surakarta. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling as many as 60 respondents. The results of the study indicate that the utilization of consumptive zakat (X1) has a partial effect on the empowerment of mustahik (Y). The utilization of productive zakat (X2) has a partial effect on the empowerment of mustahik (Y). While the dominant variable affecting the empowerment of mustahik (Y) is the utilization of productive zakat (X2).
