IMPLEMENTASI PRINSIP SHARIA CORPORATE GOVERNANCE PADA PEGADAIAN SYARIAH CABANG ISLAMIC CENTRE BEKASI

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the principles of Sharia Corporate Governance at Pegadaian Syariah Islamic Centre Bekasi Branch. This research is classified as field research with qualitative approach. This study took the object of research at the Pegadaian Syariah Branch Bekasi Islamic Centre. The informants in this study were 4 informants who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Data was collected by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The results of this study reveal that the implementation of the principles of Sharia Corporate Governance at Pegadaian Syariah Branch Bekasi Islamic Center has been implemented applying the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness and equality, as well as the principles of sharia compliance. However, there are internal obstacles in applying the principles of Sharia Corporate Governance, namely the lack of socialization and marketing in introducing sharia pegadaian products to the public and there are still many people who consider sharia pegadaian to apply interest on their products.
