ABSTRACTDSN-MUI No.108/X/2016 issued a fatwa that all sharia businessoperations including sharia hotels must use the services of sharia financialinstitutions in providing services. However, Some sharia hotels in Solo Raya useconventional bank services compared to islamic banks. The purpose of this studywas to determine the factors of Islamic hotel entrepreneurs who use conventionalbank services compared to Islamic banks.The method used is descriptive qualitative. The source of the data isprimary data, namely data obtained directly from informants related to thisresearch, where data is obtained from interviews. The object of this research isthe Arini Syariah hotel which is located in Solo Raya. The research sample is theleader or manager and staff.The results of this study are to determine several factors of Islamic hotelentrepreneurs who use the services of conventional banks compared to Islamicbanks, namely there are internal and external factors. Internal factors include thelack of attention from sharia hotel entrepreneurs to the DSN-MUI fatwa, lack ofunderstanding about Islamic banks and hotel advantage. External factors includethe lack of promotion of Islamic banks to hotels, the needs of hotel guests, andfactors of Islamic bank servants to hotels.Keywords: Preference, Sharia Hotel, Conventional Bank, Sharia Bank
