ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the low interest of farmers in paying agricultural zakat in Gladagsari District, Boyolali Regency. This research is a descriptive qualitative research where data collection is through direct interviews with farmers who meet the criteria as informants. This study researcher uses a stuctured interview method where the interview draf used uses references from previous journals. The subjects in this study are rural communities in the gladaksari sub-district who work as farmers, and the objects in this study are agricultural products, zakat nishab, zakat levels, and distribution of agricultural zakat in gladaksari sub-district, boyolali district. As for the qualitative data analysis techniques, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions The results of the study indicate that the factors that influence the low interest of the community in paying agricultural zakat are due to the low level of existing customs, the lack of public awareness of what agricultural products must be issued zakat, and the lack of public trust in the institution. amil zakat in the local area.
