WAKAF TUNAI DI KALANGAN MAHASISWA (Studi kasus Mahasiswa Perbankan Syariah UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta)

ABSTRACT Cash Waqf is a very useful activity, and of course it can improve the level of the community's economy. In Indonesia, it has been intensified by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono through the Money Waqf Movement on January 8, 2010, and in early 2020, the government through the Ministry of Religion and the Indonesian Waqf Agency (BWI) launched the National Movement for Waqf money (GNWU). However, cash waqf is still unfamiliar in the world of education, especially among students. Even though students are as the next generation who are prepared for the future. Then there is a need to learn about waqf and its practices. This study aims to determine the dynamics of cash waqf among students, factors that influence the interest of students to carry out cash waqf and the practice of cash waqf among students. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method, the data retrieval technique used is through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that students' lack of understanding of cash waqf, and the factors that affect the interest of students in cash waqf are internal factors and external factors. In addition, the interest of students in waqf is very high, but there is no opportunity to realize it. Therefore, it is necessary to increase students' understanding of cash waqf, and provide opportunities for students to have cash waqf, even facilitated to distribute and become waqf managers so that all
