ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational citizenship behavior,
organizational culture and competence on employee performance by mediating job satisfaction
(Study at PDAM Surakarta City). The type of research used is quantitative. This study uses primary
data. The sample in this study were 78 respondents who were taken from PDAM Surakarta City
employees. The sampling technique used non-probability sampling technique with data collection
methods using questionnaires. Then the data analysis techniques used in this research are
instrument test, classical assumption test, model determination test, hypothesis test or T statistics,
path analysis and Sobel test with the help of IBM SPSS statistics 23 software.
The results of this study indicate that 1) Organizational Citizenship Behavior has a positive
but not significant effect on job satisfaction, 2) Organizational Culture has a positive but not
significant effect on job satisfaction. 3) Competition has a positive and significant effect on job
satisfaction. 4) Organizational citizenship behavior has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance. 5) Organizational culture has a positive but not significant effect on
employee performance, 6) competence has a positive and significant influence on employee
performance. 7) Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on performance employees,
8. Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between organizational citizenship behavior and
employee performance, 9). Job satisfaction mediates the relationship between organizational
culture and employee performance.10). Job satisfaction mediatesS the relationship between
competence and employee performance.
