ABSTRACT

Baitul Mal Wat Tamwil Ar-Rahmah Baiturrahman Great Mosque
Sukoharjo is a sharia financial institution that focuses on developing productive
businesses in improving the quality of economic activities by encouraging saving
activities and supporting the financing of their economic activities. One of the
activities carried out is by providing murabahah financing to customers. The
purpose of this study is to analyze how the collateral appraisal process in
murabahah financing, SWOT analysis, and also the obstacles faced in the collateral
appraisal process.
This type of research is qualitative methods. The population of this study
were all employees and members of BMT. The sample of this study was 4 informants
used purposive sampling technique. Data collection used interviews and
documentation. Data analysis in this study used a triangulation model of source
data and also triangulation of technical data.
Based on the research results has been obtained, it is known that in the
processed of assessing and SWOT collateral analysis several things have been
found that can provide advantages and disadvantages to BMT. Likewise there are
still obstacles found in the processed of assessing the feasibility of collateral
carried out by BMT.
