ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of occupational health and
safety programs during the Covid-19 pandemic on employee performance with job
satisfaction as an interveing variable with a case study at PT Delta Merlin Dunia Textile
IV. The sampling technique uses probability sampling with simple random sampling
method. As a representative of the population, the sample of this study was 120
respondents. This type of research includes quantitative or explanatory research. Data
obtained through a questionnaire, processed using SPSS version 22 and analyzed using
the Path Analysis method, to see the direct and indirect influence between variables.
The results showed that occupational safety and health directly had a positive
and significant effect on job satisfaction. Occupational health also has a positive and
significant effect on employee performance. However, work safety doesn’t directly affect
employee performance and then variable job satisfaction has a positive and significant
effect on performance. Futhermore, indirectly job satisfaction has a positive and
significant effect in mediating the work safety and occupational health variables on
employee performance.
The effect of occupational health programs has the highest impact in increasing
job satisfaction and employee performance. And the results show that the indirect effect
plays a bigger role than the direct effect in improving employee performance.
