Analisis Pengetahuan Masyarakat Di Surakarta Terhadap Penggunaan Peer To Peer Lending Pada Jasa Fintech
ABSTRACT
Financial Technology Peer to Peer Lending or known as Online Loans by
the Indonesian is one of the Financial Technology product that is currently
developing in the world. The requirements establishing this Online Loan company
are by registering and licensing through the Financial Services Authority (OJK),
but there are also possibility for individuals establishing Illegal Online Loans. The
public's ignorance was exploited to get bigger profits, and they did not hesitate to
use violence in the collection process. Therefore there needs an explanation to the
public about the technological developments in the economic sector, especially
Online Loans, which are very close to the community because of the easiness,
practical and fast requirements of getting funds.
Literacy or socialization on issues like this can be carried out
synergistically by the relevant Ministries or Government Agencies such as Bank
Indonesia or the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Based on this phenomenon,
this research was conducted in a location that has a high level of education in
Central Java with a high economic level, Surakarta. This study used a descriptive
qualitative method with the people of Surakarta as the object of this research.
The results of this study are known that the people of Surakarta which
dominated by the younger generation have knowledge about online loans. Based
on this knowledge, people can choose legal online loans that are safe to use because
online loans are legal under the supervision of the Financial Services Authority
(OJK) unlike illegal online loans that can harm the public. So it can be concluded
that the people of Surakarta have been able to implement the knowledge obtained
well.
