ABSTRACT

This research was motivated by the problem of the minimal use of Card-
Based Payment Instruments in payment transactions for students of IAIN

Surakarta. So the purpose of this study is to explain that the use of payment
instruments using cards is more effective and flexible.
This research is descriptive qualitative in nature, the types of data used
are primary data and secondary data. The population in this study were bank
employees who managed the management and students of IAIN Surakarta and
students who paid through transfers. While the sample in the study used a
purposive sampling technique. While the technique, research data using
interviews and documentation.

The results of this study include ukt management at Bank Jateng Syariah
and students who pay by transfer. In the management of ukt at Bank Jateng
Syariah itself, Bank Jateng Syariah receives payment then goes directly to the
IAIN account and by IAIN it is directly deposited to the treasurer of the recipient
of the state. Meanwhile, students who pay by transfer are still minimal using card
payments.
