ABSTRACT

ShariaPawnshop and the Waste Bank are currently collaborating in
the implementation of one of the Sharia Pawnshop products, namely gold savings.
Many people are interested in saving gold at ShariaPawnshopthrough the Waste
Bank because they get more benefits. The purpose of this research is to find out
how big the role of waste bank in implementing gold savings at
ShariaPawnshopand find out what is the motivation of waste bank customers to
save gold at ShariaPawnshop. The sample in this study is waste bank customers
who save gold in sharia pawnshops. The method used in this study is a purposive
sampling method with data collection methods through interviews, observation
and documentation.

The result of this research is that the Sharia Pawnshop is better
known to the public not only as a place to pawn goods, but also a place to save
gold. By collaborating with waste banks, ShariaPawnshop also gets the benefit of
increasing the number of customers participating in the Syariah Pegadaian gold
savings program. The motivation of Jensan Mugi Berkah Waste Bank customers
to participate in the Syariah Pegadaian gold savings program is in the context of
long-term investment to meet future needs, such as children's education costs and
other needs that require large funds.
