ABSTRACT

This research is motivated by the existence of customer data breaches
which resulted in losses for the Bank and customers. So, the purpose of this study
is to determine the protection of Mobile Banking customer data related to
compliance risk and operational risk and to find out the benefits of data
protection for customers.
This research is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis
approach. The population of this research is Mobile Banking customers. The
sampling technique used was purposive sampling method, namely 3 customers
using Mobile Banking who were originally customers of Bank Syariah Mandiri
and employees of Bank Syariah Branch Office Solo.
Collecting data in this study using observation, interview techniques
with data analysis using the Miles Huberman approach. From the results of the
study, the Bank Syariah Indonesia Solo Branch Office in Surakarta in protecting
the personal data of customers using Mobile Banking implements customer data
protection according to the risk of compliance with applicable laws and in its
operations in accordance with the applicable Technical Instructions Operational
Reminder for opening, administering and closing savings Notes No. ND. B.376-
OSG/02/2021 February 1, 2021 BSI.
