Penggunaan E-Payment Di Kalangan Pedagang Frozen Food Di Sukoharjo
ABSTRACT
The electronic payment system (e-payment) as part of the rapidly growing digital economy
in the current new normal era, is certainly an opportunity for micro, small and medium enterprises
(MSMEs) to develop their businesses. This study aims to determine: (1) the factors that encourage
traders to use e-payment services; (2) the implications of using e-payment services on the financial
management of traders. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach.
The research was conducted on SMEs with frozen food business type in Sukoharjo Regency. Data
collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis
technique uses an interactive type of qualitative analysis which consists of the process of collecting
data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that:
(1) The factors that encourage frozen food SMEs to use e-payment services are the awareness,
knowledge, preferences, and beliefs of SMEs towards e-payment.
MSME awareness of e-payments is reflected in respondents' responses to consumer
behavior that currently likes to shop online. MSMEs use e-payments because they provide added
value and modernization. Knowledge: after realizing the existence of a certain product, the
customer is the next stage to gain knowledge, where the term e-payment is quite widely known by
MSMEs. Likes: after respondents know and understand, MSMEs like to use e-payments.
Confidence: there is positive trust and confidence that after using e-payment transactions will be
smoother, safer, able to grow, and easy to use; (2) The implications of using e-payment services
for the financial management of frozen food SMEs are the ease of transactions, a faster payment
system, being able to manage finances more easily, and providing security in transactions.
