ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effect of an independent board of
commissioners, firm size, and leverage on the firm performance of consumer goods
industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2017-2019. The
data in this study are secondary data using data obtained from the company’s annual
report.
The sample in this study were 35 consumer goods industry companies listed
on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2017-2019. The technique in this study was
using purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used in this research is panel
data regression analysis with the help of the Eviews 10 application.
The analysis shows that independent board of commissioners has no effect on
firm performance. Firm size has a positive effect on firm performance and leverage
has a negative effect on firm performance.
