ABSTRACT
Every year, the amount of money being lent by Islamic banks grows by a
greater percentage. This must be done by bank management to ensure that the bank
is in good health and that there is no excessive non-performing financing.
Specifically, the goal of this research is to estimate the impact of internal and
macroeconomic variables on non-performing financing (NPF) in Islamic foreign
exchange banks throughout the five years 2015-2020.
It was secondary data that was employed in this research, and the data
gathering approaches were in the form of documentation methods. It is used in this
research to draw data from a sample of five Islamic Foreign Exchange Banks
registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the year 2015-2020. The
data is drawn from quarterly financial statements of these five Islamic Foreign
Exchange Banks for the period 2015-2020. The non-probability sampling
approach, along with purposive sampling or judgment sampling, was utilized to
collect the data in this study. In this research, panel data regression analysis was
used in conjunction with the Eviews 10 data processing tool to analyze the data
collected.
The findings revealed that the CAR variable had a partially negative and
significant effect on Non-Performing Financing (NPF), the inflation variable had
a positive and significant impact on Non-Performing Financing (NPF), and the
FDR variable and the exchange rate had no and insignificant effects on Non-
