Peran Perbankan Syariah Dalam Meningkatkan Inklusi Keuangan Pedagang Pasar Keden Di Kabupaten Klaten

ABSTRACT

This research aimed to found out optimized the role of Islamic banks in
improved the financial inclussion of Keden market traders in Klaten regency in view
of inclusive financial indcators and found out the factors that caused Keden market
traders in Pedan district of Klaten regency to had not accessed islamic banking
facilities. The research methodology used was a qualitative, data collection methods
were carried out though field observation and interview, which the population in this
study was Keden market traders in Pedan district of Klaten regency, and the data
analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative.
The results of this study showed that the role of islamic banking in increased
the financial inclusion of Keden market traders was not optimal, because the indicators
of financial inclusion to accessed islamic banking of Keden market traders were not
met. Furthermore, the factors that caused Keden market traders had not accessed
islamic banking facilities include : 1. Already had accounts at other banks, 2. Lacked
of trust to islamic banks because of news of looted money, 3. Accessed was too far
and took a lot of time, 4. No islamic bank employees came to door to door system, 5.
Branch offices, ATMs, and other services facilities that just few and not scattered, 6.
Administrative costs were expensive, and 7. Didn’t know what islamic banking was,
what its products were, and how it systems.
