PENGARUH REPUTASI UNDERWRITER, UMUR PERUSAHAAN, DAN INFLASI TERHADAP UNDERPRICING SAHAM INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING (IPO)
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the influence of underwriter reputation, company
age, and inflation on stock underpricing in companies conducting Initial Public
Offerings (IPOs) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research method employed
is quantitative research using secondary data. The population in this study includes
all companies that conducted IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2019 to
2022, totaling 219 companies. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling,
resulting in a final sample of 196 companies. The analysis was conducted using
multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS 23 software.
The research results reveal that underwriter reputation and company age
have a negative influence on stock underpricing, indicating that companies with a
good underwriter reputation and older age tend to experience lower underpricing.
Conversely, inflation has a positive influence on stock underpricing, suggesting that
as inflation increases, the level of stock underpricing also tends to rise.
