ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the impact of company performance as proxied by ROE,
NPM, Tobin's Q on company risk. This research was conducted on all transportation and
logistics sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during 2019-2021.
The type of research used is quantitative research. The data used is secondary data
from annual reports and company financial reports. The sample selection method uses a
purposive sampling method with a total sample of 24 companies. Meanwhile, the analysis
method used is multiple linear regression analysis and processed using the Eviews
version 10 program.
The research results show that ROE has no effect on company risk taking.
Meanwhile, NPM and Tobin's Q have a significant negative and positive effect on
company risk taking. Then the control variables of profitability, age, growth
opportunities, leverage and tangibility have a significant effect on company risk taking,
while investment opportunities and company size have no effect on company risk taking.
