ABSTRACT

This research aims to analyze the influence of zakat and the sharia supervisory
board on financial performance with a case study at a Sharia Commercial Bank in 2016-
2020. This research uses financial reports as a medium for collecting data which is then
analyzed using multiple regression in Eviews10. Two variables consisting of zakat and the
sharia supervisory board are considered to have an influence on financial performance.
The research results show that zakat has a positive and significant effect on
company financial performance. Meanwhile, the sharia supervisory board does not have a
significant influence on the company's financial performance.

Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the factor that
Sharia Commercial Banks must pay attention to in order to provide better company
performance is zakat. Therefore, to improve the company's financial performance, Sharia
Commercial Banks need to optimize zakat.
