ABSTRACT

This research aims to analyze the influence of perceived benefits,

perceived convenience, and trust as intervening variables on interest in using e-
wallet funds in the city of Surakarta. This research is included in quantitative

research. The population of this research is students in the city of Surakarta who
have never used the Dana E-Wallet. The sample used was 130 respondents. The
dependent variable (Y) in this research is interest in using; the independent
variable is perception of benefit (X1) and perception of convenience (X2); and the
intervening variable (Z) is trust. The sampling technique uses purposeful
sampling, where sampling is determined based on certain criteria. The data used
is primary data obtained from respondents' answers through the questionnaire
given. The tool used in this research is SmartPLS 3.0.
From this research, it can be concluded that: 1) perception of benefits has
a positive and significant effect on trust; 2) perception of convenience has a
positive and significant effect on trust; 3) trust has a positive and significant effect
on interest in using; 4) perception of benefits has a positive and significant effect
on interest in using; 5) perceived ease of use has insignificant effect on interest in
using; 6) trust is able to provide a mediating effect of perceived usefulness on
interest in using; and 7) trust is able to provide a mediating effect of perceived
ease of use on interest in using.
In the future, authors who will review or conduct similar research are
expected to add more samples and other variables that have not been revealed in
this research for better data accuracy. For the Dana e-wallet, it is hoped that it

can maintain and increase socialization about the benefits of using the Dana e-
wallet.
