ANALISIS PERMASALAHAN PENGIRIMAN DI KANTOR POS SRAGEN DALAM UPAYA PENGENDALIAN KUALITAS PENGIRIMAN DENGAN METODE SEVEN TOOLS

ABSTRACT

This research aims to determine the application of Seven tools of Quality
Control in analyzing the problem of failed deliveries at the Kantor Pos Sragen
57200 due to the issue of failed deliveries in December 2023 reaching 2.29%. This
research using a mixed-method research that combines qualitative and quantitative
method. The primary data processed in this study is the interview data conducted
with the Manager of operations of the Kantor Pos Sragen 57200. Meanwhile,
secondary data is obtained from the delivery report data that occurred during
December 2023. This research was conducted using the Seven Tools method
approach which consists of flow charts, check sheets, histograms, pareto diagrams,
scatter diagrams, control diagrams, and fishbone diagrams.
Based on data processing using seven tools, 12 types of failed delivery
problems were found, unknown recipients, empty houses, closed offices, addresses
not found, recipients moved addresses, rejected, recipients not in place, recipients
died, addresses not permanently inhabited, wrong addresses, natural disasters, and
error by the system. The most common problems are unknown recipients, empty
houses, and closed offices are considered the highest cause of failed delivery with
a cumulative reaching 72.9%. The results of the control chart show that the problem
of failed delivery during December 2023 is still in control but to reduce the
problem, an analysis is carried out with a fishbone diagram which shows that the
problem occurs due to human factors, methods, and materials. The research results
produce solution recommendations to reduce the cause of failed delivery at the
Sragen Post Office regarding human factors, methods, and materials to improve
SOPs for each worker at the Post Office so that negligence and non-compliance
with methods decrease in the future.
