ABSTRACT

This research is entitled Factors that Influence the Interest of Sharia
Banking Students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta to have a career in Sharia
Banking. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the interest of
sharia banking students at the Raden Mas Said State Islamic University, Surakarta,
to pursue a career in sharia banking.
The type of research used is quantitative research with primary data
sources where data collection is carried out by distributing questionnaires via
Google forms. The population in this study were Sharia Banking students from the
Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business, UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. The
data obtained was then processed using the SPSS version 25 application program,
then analyzed using validity test, reliability test, normality test, multicollinearity
test, heteroscedasticity test, multiple linear regression analysis test, simultaneous
test, coefficient of determination test, hypothesis test.
The research results show that the results of the t test for the variables of
knowledge, internship experience and motivation have a positive and significant
effect on the career interest of Sharia Banking students at UIN Raden Mas Said
Surakarta in sharia banks. Meanwhile, the religiosity variable has a positive but
not significant relationship to the career interest of Sharia Banking students at UIN
Raden Mas Said Surakarta in sharia banking.
