PENGARUH WISATA HALAL DAN LITERASI KEUANGAN SYARIAH TERHADAP PEMBIAYAAN DI BANK SYARIAH (STUDI KASUS PADA UMKM SEKITAR MASJID SYEIKH ZAYED SOLO)
ABSTRACT
Tourism has an important role in the economic development of a country or region,
covering various aspects such as recreation, culture and the environment. Halal
tourism isone of the tourism sectors that is growing rapidly, especially in Indonesia
which has the largest Muslim population in the world. However, the development
of halal tourism requires support from the sharia financial sector, especially sharia
banking, to facilitate financing in accordance with sharia principles. However,
public understanding of sharia banking products is still low, so the challenges faced
include increasing sharia financial literacy. In addition, Indonesia is lagging
behind in developing the halal industry compared toneighboring countries such
as Malaysia and Thailand, even though it has great potential with its cultural and
natural diversity. Local government efforts to build tourism infrastructure, such as
around the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo, can provide a significant
economic boost for local MSMEs. Observations and interviews around halal
tourism locations show that financing from sharia banks can provide benefits for
MSME entrepreneurs, although success depends on the entrepreneur's
responsibility and competence in managing loans. Thus, integration between the
halal tourism sector and sharia banking is the key to optimizing the potential of the
tourism industry and supporting local economic growth and better sharia financial
inclusion in Indonesia
